Where do I go to get the bankruptcy paperwork?
I want to file for bankruptcy, but I'm not sure where to begin. I want to know if it's possible to look at the paperwork before actually committing to the process. I just want to see what kinds of questions will be asked and what I can expect.

Forms are available on the U. S. Bankruptcy Court, Western District of Texas website; there's a section on the homepage entitled, "Filing Without An Attorney." The best place to go is to an experienced bankruptcy attorney. There are a lot of risks involved in filng for bankruptcy if you don't know what you're doing. The Bankruptcy forms are on the website for the Northern District of Georgia. This site is located at www.ganb.uscourts.gov You can simply go on this site and look at the Official Bankruptcy Forms to get an idea of what disclosures are required. Generally speaking, you are required to disclose all of your assets and debts as well as your income and expenses. You are also required to fill out a Statement of Financial Affairs which discloses such information as your income for the past three years. If you file for Chapter 13, you are also required to file a Plan of reorganization. If you decide to file, I strongly encourage you to hire experienced Bankruptcy counsel. It is not very expensive to hire a Bankruptcy attorney and you will ultimately save yourself time and money by engaging counsel who knows his or her way around the Bankruptcy Court.

Yes it is possible to see the bankruptcy forms ahead of time, before you go to put a case on file. Copies of the forms used in the bankruptcy courts in the Northern District of Texas. The forms for the other Texas districts vary a little bit but the ones at that link will give you a good general idea of what you'll be dealing with.
